#AveryStrong Elite 32 and #AveryStrong College Showcase 2019

This past weekend, we had six different opportunities to share Avery’s story with over 500 football players at the #AveryStrong Elite 32 7v7 Tournament on Saturday and the #AveryStrong College Showcase on Sunday.

Both the tournament and camp, put on by our great, supportive friends at Barton Football, Taylor and Jessica Barton and Dom Rockey, were established in Avery’s honor, with shirts and trophies bearing her name.

Each of the tournament winners on Saturday, for all four levels (5th and 6th, 7th and 8th, Freshman and Varsity) plus all of the campers and their families as well as the high school, camp and college coaches had the chance to hear about Avery, her fight, her brAvery, her strength and courage and how each player had a chance to support our foundation and give hope to other families just by being a part of the events.

It means so much to us to see Avery’s picture at the camp, AveryStrong on the shirts, on the tents, on the trophies, but more importantly, to have the opportunity to speak about the bravest, toughest, strongest kid we ever met, stronger, braver and tougher than any football player we’ve ever met.

You can read more about the event, the tournament winners and MVP’s on 247Sports: https://247sports.com/college/football/recruiting/Article/AveryStrong-Elite-32-and-AveryStrong-College-Showcase-Notebook-131648112/

A HUGE thank you to Taylor and Jessica, Dom, Jessica, Lauren, the Barton Football staff, the 7v7 Association teams and coaches, the camp coaches, the college coaches who came, and all the players at the camp, for coming, supporting the Avery Huffman Defeat DIPG Foundation, honoring Avery and being a part of a great event.
