Amanda Huffman, Co-Founder & VP of Board

Amanda is an Affiliate Marketing Manager and Account Specialist for Simple Pin Media after a long, distinguished career in marketing for various publishing companies.

She lived in Southern California as a child before moving to Lynden, Washington. She and her husband Brandon were married in 1999 and reside in the Seattle suburb of Auburn and are the proud parents of Alexandra, Cade, Avery and Addison.

Amanda and Brandon are the co-founders of the Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation, which was established in May 2016 to honor the legacy and fight of their 7-year old daughter, Avery, who was diagnosed with DIPG in June of 2015 and bravely fought this terminal cancer for 7.5 months before taking her final breath on February 16, 2016.

She currently serves as the director of the Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation as well as the Vice President of the Board of Directors.

Amanda graduated cum laude from Azusa Pacific University in 1999 with a B.S. degree in Marketing with a minor in Business Administration.

Brandon Huffman, Co-Founder & President of Board

Brandon is the National College Football Recruiting Editor for 247Sports, part of CBS Sports, and is featured on various national media platforms covering college football and college football recruiting.

Born and raised in Southern California, in Ventura, Brandon and his wife Amanda make their home in the Seattle suburb of Auburn and are the parents of Avery, Alexandra, Addison and Cade.

Brandon and Amanda are the co-founders of the Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation.  The Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation was established in May 2016 and honors the fight and legacy of their 7-year old daughter, Avery, who fought DIPG bravely from June 2015 until her death on February 16, 2016. 

He presently serves as the executive director of the Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation as well as the President of the Board of Directors.

Brandon graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 1998 with a B.A. degree in Journalism and Applied Communication with a minor in Psychology and received a certificate in Public Relations from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2004.

Dr. Suraj Singh, Oncologist

Suraj Singh MD is a Radiation Oncologist at Banner MD Anderson in Northern Colorado. Prior to that he helped lead a successful brain tumor program in Tacoma, Washington. A nationally respected oncologist who has worked on the frontlines of oncology for over 20 years, Dr. Singh is a leader in institutional and national clinical trials. He treats brain tumors, genitourinary malignancies, and lung cancer and is dedicated to research and creating individualized treatment plans for each patient.

Dr. Singh served as Avery's radiation oncologist at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital/Multicare in Tacoma during her 7.5 month battle with DIPG. His personal treatment of Avery impacted and affected him greatly and helped develop and harden his passion and resolve to treat pediatric brain tumors.

His research interests involve using novel agents to target tumors and using technology to reduce radiation to healthy tissues.

Dr. Singh completed his medical degree and Radiation Oncology training at New York Medical College.

Michael Jeremiah, Secretary

Michael is a senior program manager in the legal affairs department at T-Mobile.

Prior to that, Michael worked in legal compliance at Morley Capital Management.

Michael and his wife, Emily, live in Washington with their daughters, Wendy and Mae.

Michael was in high school when Brandon became the youth pastor at his church. Since then, Brandon has been a mentor and close friend, and served as the officiant at Michael and Emily’s wedding. Michael is honored by the chance to fight in Avery’s memory to defeat the terrible disease that took her away from her family.

Michael is a double Dawg, graduating from the University of Washington School of Law in 2015, after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from UW in 2009.

Darin Padur, Treasurer

Darin is a Vice President and Regional Manager for the Bank of New York Mellon. He works within the Global Risk Solutions group, helping institutional clients manage their risk, performance and analytics needs. He has been with the organization since 2003. Prior to his tenure at BNYM, he worked at Russell Investments, supporting investment clients and fund accounting and tax support of mutual funds. Before joining Russell, Darin worked in public accounting with a focus on audits of financial institutions.

In addition to serving on the board, Darin has been active in youth sports serving in both coaching and administrative roles. Darin and his wife, Shannon, have two children and reside in Auburn, Washington. Darin and Shannon have created a number of #AveryStrong events over the years as well as #AveryStrong DIPG Awareness baseball jersey’s for the Untouchables travel team.

Darin graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Business Administration and Accounting degree, and later received an MBA from University of Washington.
