7-year-old Seahawks Fan Avery Huffman Loses Battle With Cancer

Avery, 7, was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) in July of 2015. DIPG is a rare form of cancer which attacks the brain. It carries a near immediate death sentence, which of course shook the Huffman family to their core. Brandon Huffman, who is the national director for recruiting at Scout but more importantly Avery's father, voiced that anguish in a moving blog post.
